Are you handy with leather work? Then just buy these brass hooks and build your own scabbard carriers. These belt hooks make costume changes a breeze – the entire scabbard can just lift right off of a belt or sash without having to undo any part of the costume.
Each batch has 6 belt hooks. I have five batches left.

Here is a suggestion as to how you can rig these.
(straps not included)

S22 – BLACKPOWDER BLANKS FOR .22 Caliber Starter Pistols.

  • 22 caliber blackpowder (rim-fire). don’t confuse this with the above crimped loads. It is three times as loud and much deeper in tone. Made only by Winchester. Gives a rich sound and even leaves some smoke hanging in the air! This is what all but the largest houses or outdoor theatres require. about $0.35 per shot.     :   $17.39 for a box of 50.
  • LOWEST PRICE NATIONWIDE

Z13 – NYLON SHOULDER HOLSTER, Black, Right Hand

This modern holster will fit snub-nose revolvers (think “James Cagney”) and small-frame semiautos (think “James Bond”). For a right-hand draw, and it is in great shape.  Sorry to say it’s the last one.

         to buy – $18

W50 – CZ-24 PARTS

Want to make your own submachine gun props? When the Iron Curtain came down, we bought a truck-load of automatic weapons from former Soviet Block countries. The receivers were chopped up and destroyed so they could never fire again, but that was perfect for us – we just wanted to create good-looking props!
I believe I have five bag-o’-parts of these relics of the cold war. You’ll need to get some steel pipe to fill in the parts that were cut out when they decommissioned them. But if you have basic welding skills and can work out simple jigsaw puzzles, you should do well!  When you’re done, you’ll have a great looking, incredibly sturdy, 28 inch, 8 lb prop.

It can look like this when you’re done!

S46 – 9mm (.380) PRIMERED CARTRIDGES

The .380/9mm revolvers of course require larger blanks than the standard .22 caliber. But a larger diameter blank usually holds a lot of gunpowder inside, often too much for a small theatre.
These primered casings have no gunpowder in them at all! The primers are louder than those found in other blanks, so the sound produced is similar to the light 6mm/.22 caliber blanks.

$16.96 for each box of 50.    And yes, that’s only $0.34 for each shot!

LugerZ18 – LUGER HOLSTER

Hard, almost instrument case-like leather. Retains its shape even when empty. Will only fit the Luger P-08. I have roughly ten in stock. [NOTE: if the actor is not going to pull the gun out, why not just buy only the holster? Save some bucks.]
     to buy – $16

L52- Sabre Scabbard Carrier (for two-ringed sabre scabbard)

I’ll bet you have a sabre in your props cabinet that has a scabbard, but no way to attach the scabbard to the actor. If so, you need this. It makes costume changes a breeze – the entire scabbard can just lift right off of a belt or sash without having to undo any part of the costume.

These hook carriers are meant for scabbards where the two rings are off-set. In other words, one ring is near the scabbard opening, and the other ring is about a foot lower. Military sabres are often meant to be worn down almost at knee level (which is fine when you are on horseback) or hitched up to waist level when you are on the ground. I shortened and simplified the arrangement – just snap the straps onto the rings and then drop the brass clip onto any sash or belt.

I have only one left.

   Buy it – $11

S11 – SMALL BLANKS FOR .22 Caliber Starter Pistols.

  • 6mm crimped – (rim-fire). sometimes misnamed the “super loud”, but more aptly the “acorn”, it is the smallest amount of sound you can find in a commercial blank. The very small amount of gunpowder produces a rather high pitched sound, but if your house is small, this is all you will need. Will fit any 22 caliber gun. Various brand names, the most common being MaxxTech (made in Bosnia/Herzegovina)about $0.15 per shot :   $15.00 for a tin of 100.

L01 – LEATHER BELTS used

Real leather 2″ wide belts, built in-house. (please don’t confuse these with cheap costume belts made of paper-thin leather over cardboard). The sizes listed are the maximum for each. [There is no minimum size, since you can always punch another hole in the leather, right? And if the belt is too long, the excess can be tucked through the holster or sheath.] All of them well worn: originally $35 each.

         sales – $15

2 in brown (sizes: 50″, 65″)
10 in black (sizes: 42″, 44″, 44″, 47″, 49″, 49″, 49″, 51″, 58″, 69″)
3 in ecru/buff (sizes: 45″, 52″, 56″)

The numbers next to the sizes show the availability of each. How to measure for glove sizes.

Z45 – IRONS – SCREW KEY

These are historically accurate cuff manacles. Which means that it takes a little bit of time to get in an out of them. The screw key has to be turned all the way clockwise to lock the cuff and then release the key, then all the way counter-clockwise to open the cuff. But then the key is locked into the cuff, so it has to be turned all the way clockwise again to release the key so you can use it on the other cuff. Fine for putting on while off-stage, or if you have a lot of time on-stage.

Z79 – QUIVER

In natural leather –    sales price = $13

very wide quiver can also serve as a short bow holster. 19″ long, 6″ wide. One remains.

Z16 – Military HOLSTERS

Will fit most martial sidearms of the 20th century, but not Lugers. I’m down to the last six. [NOTE: if the actor is not going to pull the gun out, why not just get only the holster, stuff it with paper, and close the weather flap? Save some bucks.]

to buy – $10

S49 – 9mm (.380) FULL-LOAD BLANKS

These are center-fire, but rimmed for use in .380 cal blank revolvers (not semi-automatics). For use in outdoor theatres, or when you want to replicate the sound of a cannon going off (I am only slightly exaggerating). The shooter must wear ear protection. I have several hundred available. This price is far, far below wholesale.

$7.97 for each box of 50.    And yes, that’s only $0.16 for each shot!

379 – “SWITCHBLADE”

It is illegal for me to ship a real switchblade knife within the United States, even a dull one. The best I can do is to take the novelty comb, remove the plastic and add a weak 4″ aluminum blade. So weak that it can not be considered a real knife.

I have 18 left. That may sound like a lot, but these puppies sell fast. I used to build several hundred at a time to last a season. But after these are gone, I’m not making any more. So buy some now while they still exist. [For information on how to keep them working a little longer, click this link]

but you can’t beat the price.  – $8.45
